With an element of sadness but with the excitement of what the future may hold Bev Vennix retired last Wednesday.
Bev has been a stalwart of the business and has played a large part in the evolution of Synstrat. For over 25 years Bev has been the “go to” person within the walls of Synstrat. There hasn’t been much that Bev hasn’t done from IT to ASIC as she rose through the ranks. There has been a lot of changes over that period from the original offices in Deepdene with a handful of employees to the present location with a team of 30. Reflecting on her time with Synstrat she thanked everyone for their friendship over many years with many ex-team members reaching out to her to wish her well. Her advice to everyone was to “just have a go”. We could all see this phrase in the way Bev has gone about things over those many years.
With Bev looking after many of our client’s ASIC requirements, amongst many other things, she was well known to them as well (as you would expect after so many years here) and they will no doubt miss her as we all will.
Managing Director David Collins particularly thanked Bev for her support over the difficult period that we have all faced as we dealt with the many challenges that COVID-19 placed before us.
And with that a significant chapter within Bev’s life closed but a new and exciting one commenced. We all wish Bev a happy, healthy, and relaxing retirement.
